DUSAN
Dušan Paunović has been making quietly beautiful clothes in Milan since 1999, nearly three decades spent ignoring the seasonal churn of fashion. Born in Belgrade and trained in New York under Zoran Ladicorbic, he works to a narrow set of principles: restraint, exceptional cloth, and shapes cut loose enough to move. The collections are built from Scottish and Italian cashmere, wool voile, silk, linen, cotton poplin and Japanese cotton, ribbed cardigans and the Iconic crewneck, boat-neck and funnel-neck sweaters, open-front coats, fluid trousers and layered tunics, in greys, black, navy, tobacco and burnt earth tones. This is a manner of dressing that is never in or out: pragmatic, high in quality, and made to be worn for years.
