Issey Miyake’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection reflects a continuing fascination with transformation, presenting clothing as something alive, adaptive, and in motion. Built around the idea of evolution and metamorphosis, the collection reconsiders familiar garments through unexpected shapes, shifting structures, and a playful tension between control and fluidity.
The theme of metamorphosis also appears in the visual language of the collection, where distorted shapes, lifted shoulders, and off-axis seams create a sense of continual becoming. Instead of following a fixed idea of beauty, Issey Miyake SS26 embraces change as a design principle, allowing form to shift, stretch, and reconfigure itself.
