KASSL Editions was founded in 2018, when a collective of fashion-literate friends from around Europe were brought together by an old fisherman’s coat. A counterpoint to an era of excess and overproduction, KASSL Editions’ manufacturing operation began in Kassel, the central German city best known for its Documenta contemporary art festival, using the same facilities that supply the German national fire brigade with its near-indestructible outerwear.
