Comme Des Garçons Shirt
Comme des Garçons Shirt launched in 1988 and is still produced in France, conceived to reinvent the shirt every season rather than settle on a house style. Kawakubo traces its origins to a pre-washed, crinkle-finish white shirt from the first menswear collection a decade earlier. Today the line runs well past shirting: striped and checked poplin shirts spliced from mismatched panels, printed and graphic T-shirts, fine knitwear, trousers and lightweight jackets, often in patchwork or contrasting cuffs and collars.
