Established in 1856 by raincoat manufacturer Thomas Burberry, the label grew from its iconic invention - the trench coat - created to protect its wearers from the British weather. Contemporary British designer Daniel Lee endorsed the brand’s tradition of innovation and modernity with its timeless designs simultaneously retaining the distinctive town-and-country tradition emblematic of the label.  Burberry remains one of the most recognizable brands in the world - known for its outerwear and famous check pattern.
